Friday Frustrations

For those gays out there who put so much stock in the Obamassiah, read this:

Obama won’t “repeal 'Don’t Ask Don’t Tell' on his own” and he “prefers a legislative solution” to the Federal ban on recognizing gay marriage. So basically he wants gay votes and gay ca$h, but he wants to take the centrist route and not really do shit for us. Obama talks about change... more like we're getting shortchanged!

And on it other news today that makes me want to emigrate – another sign that America’s day is swiftly approaching twilight... Now nobody even listens to our courts anymore.

Supreme Court’s Global Influence is Waning

"The story is similar around the globe, legal experts say, particularly in cases involving human rights. These days, foreign courts in developed democracies often cite the rulings of the European Court of Human Rights in cases concerning equality, liberty and prohibitions against cruel treatment, said Harold Hongju Koh, the dean of the Yale Law School. In those areas, Dean Koh said, “they tend not to look to the rulings of the U.S. Supreme Court.”
