Album Review: Seventh Tree

Last week a friend gave me a copy of Goldfrapp's latest album, Seventh Tree. It is very different from her last work, which was very glam-pop. At first I didn't know quite what to make of it, but as I've been listening to it, it's growing on me. I say it's worth an iTunes download!

I've always thought Alison Goldfrapp has such a great aesthetic that complements her music. It's hard for artists to pull of what she does (which I can't quite put my finger on) but she does it well, without running the risk (as many artists do) of being more style than substance.

Once again (like the Sugababes and Sophie Ellis-Bextor) America catches on to a talent long after they've been popular in Great Britain and Europe.
